LIBERTY Primary Steel manufactures and supplies an extensive range of Hot Rolled Structural Steel for the Australian and New Zealand construction market. Our steel is produced in a range of grades to Australian Standard AS/NZS 3679.1 (see below for sections and sizes). Our standard product for Hot Rolled Structural sections is 300PLUS*, which exceeds the requirements of AS/NZS 3679.1 Grade 300. Other grades available by inquiry include 300L0, 300S0, 300L15, 350, 350L0, 350S0, 350L15, 300S0 and 350S0. Products come in standard lengths, depending on the section size, from 6 metres up to 21 metres in 1.5 metre increments.

Test certificates are available for all our Hot Rolled Structural Steel products. Third party certification by the Australasian Certification Authority for Reinforcing and Structural Steels Ltd (ACRS) provides additional assurance that the certificate is from a manufacturer with the capability to consistently manufacture and supply compliant product.

Higher vs Lower Minimum Yield Stress in Hot Rolled Structural Sections for Seismic Design

The ReL value for Hot-rolled sections from LIBERTY Primary Steel’s Whyalla Mill shall be determined using the following calculation from the ReHreported on Whyalla Test Certificates:
