Low Relaxation Wire
Liberty Steel manufactures Low Relaxation Wire with a Chevron Pattern indent in accordance with the Australian Standard AS/NZS 4672 – Steel Prestressing Materials.
The product is a hard-drawn, high-tensile steel wire intended for the prestressing of concrete products. During manufacture the wire is subjected to an isothermal heat treatment process to ensure correct relaxation properties in accordance with AS/NZS 4672.
All Liberty Steel Low Relaxation Wire is tested for conformance to AS/NZS 4672 in our NATA registered testing laboratories and this testing is independently accredited by the Australian Certification Authority for Reinforcing Steels Ltd (ACRS).
The various applications for Low Relaxation Wire include concrete railway sleepers, railway turnouts, bed edging wire and concrete poles and posts.
Liberty Steel’s Low Relaxation Wire is compliant for use in Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) projects.
