Low Relaxation Strand
Liberty Steel manufactures a range of Low Relaxation (LR) Strand products for use in the construction industry.
Low Relaxation Strand is used by the Pre-stressed and Post-tensioned concrete construction industry where large spans are desirable. End uses include bridge beams and planks, viaducts and multi-storey concrete buildings such as shopping centres, car parks and residential apartments.
Low Relaxation Strand is made up of seven plain wires: six outer wires twisted around a central wire. During manufacture the Strand is subjected to an isothermal heat treatment to ensure correct relaxation properties.
Liberty Steel pays particular attention to quality control in the production of LR Strand, not only of the final product, but throughout processing to ensure a high level of consistency and compliance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 4672 Steel Prestressing Materials.
All LR Strand products manufactured are tested for conformance to AS/NZS 4672 in our NATA registered testing laboratories and this testing is independently accredited by the Australian Certification Authority for Reinforcing Steels Ltd (ACRS).
Diameter range: 9.50mm to 15.70mm
