Armouring and Conductor Wire
Armouring Wire
Armouring Wire is a soft, heavy-zinc-coated wire used in the power, terrestrial and marine communications industry for binding electrical cables that are used in places where the cable may be subjected to crushing or other injury.
Liberty Steel manufactures a range of high and low carbon galvanised Armouring Wire. Low carbon armouring wires are produced to meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS 3863 – Galvanised Mild Steel for Armouring Cables and can be made to other international standards on request. High carbon armouring wires can also be produced to customer requirements on request.
Armouring wire is available in diameters ranging from 0.9mm to 4.0mm and is available in either coils or stems.

Conductor Wire
Conductor Wire is a wire specifically designed to meet the severe conditions encountered in overhead power transmission. Conductor Wire can be used as a single or multi-strand wire and is produced to meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS 1222.1 – Steel Conductors and Stays – Bare Overhead, Pt 1 – Galvanised and other related standards.
Conductor wire is available in sizes ranging from 1.75mm to 3.80mm.
